What we collect (almost nothing) and how we use it.
CountMaterials is a client-side application. All calculations happen in your browser. We do not collect your project dimensions, your inputs, or your results. The site does not require an account and does not use cookies beyond what is required for advertising (Google AdSense) and basic analytics.
Anonymous analytics
We use anonymous analytics to understand which calculators are most-used and which pages need improvement. This includes page views, time on page, and referrer information. We do not link this data to your identity, your IP address, or your device.
Advertising cookies
Google AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant ads. These cookies are governed by Google's privacy policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings page. Ad slots have reserved height to prevent layout shift.

- • Your name, email, or contact information (unless you contact us).
- • Your IP address for tracking purposes.
- • Cookies beyond what AdSense and basic analytics require.
- • Server-side state of any kind — there is no server-side database.
Some pages on this site contain Amazon Associates affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no cost to you. Affiliate links appear only in the prose body of a page, never inside the result panel — a user reading a bag count should not be sold to at the moment of calculation.
The affiliate tag used is "homzidecor-20". This disclosure is provided in accordance with FTC guidelines.

You have the right to know what data we collect about you (very little, as described above), to request deletion of that data, and to opt out of personalized advertising. Because we don't operate user accounts and don't link analytics to identity, deletion requests are largely automatic — we don't have your data to delete.
